From this seat, you’re standing tall. Bold in style with broad linebacker shoulders, Avenger’s supportive front bucket seats feature high bolsters on the seat cushion and seatback. Two-way head restraints complement the shoulder profile of the seatback and help provide whiplash protection. On SXT and R/T, seats feature a double row of stitching along the bolsters for a look that’s as rugged as it is contemporary. For cargo versatility, a 60/40-split folding rear seat is standard on all models.

Heat it up. Avenger offers available heated front seats with premium cloth – a segment exclusive – or available heated front seats with leather.

Fear no spill. Available Easy-Care YES Essentials™* Premium Cloth Seats are odour and stain resistant for easy cleaning and long-lasting appearance.

Room for everything except the ordinary. Like a super hero’s arsenal of gadgets, Avenger never ceases to amaze with innovative features and cool touches you won’t find in other sedans. Like standard Chill Zone™, a cooled beverage storage bin able to store and chill four 355 mL cans. Major details. Avenger has a two-tone theme with dark and light instrument panel and door trim, and available two-tone leather-faced seats. The interior features alloy silver and bright chrome accents, including bright chrome door lock knobs and bright chrome rings on the climate controls. R/T adds a bright chrome cluster bezel and horn pad strip.

Look, up in the sky, it’s a power sunroof. A vent, tilt and slide power sunroof with express (one-touch) opening and closing is available as a factory installed option on all models.

Sonic superpowers. A premium Six-Speaker Boston Acoustics® Sound System with 6-channel Amplifier is available on SXT with V6 and R/T. An AM/FM Stereo Radio with MP3-Capable CD/DVD player and Six-Disc CD/DVD Changer is standard on R/T.

Defeating dullness. Tune into a more stimulating on-road experience with Avenger’s available MyGIG™ Multimedia Infotainment System. Features of this cutting-edge system include a GPS Navigation System with AM/FM Stereo Radio, 20 GB hard drive that can store up to 1600 songs, MP3-Capable CD Player, SIRIUS™ Satellite Digital Audio Receiver, and UConnect™ voice-activated Hands-Free Phone.

Road show. An available Rear Seat Video Entertainment System™ will have rear seat passengers applauding. The 7-inch colour monitor works with the radio DVD player and conveniently folds out from the centre console.

Packed with storage. The centre console armrest includes dual bins with space for coin storage, a power outlet and slot for a cell phone, PDA or MP3 player. The cavernous trunk provides 368L (13 cu. ft) of luggage-swallowing volume.

Comfort to the rescue. Stretch out with Avenger’s class-leading front seat legroom – 1077 mm (42.4 in.). With 260 mm (10.2 in.) of track travel for driver and front passenger seats, Avenger can accommodate just about any size occupant. The driver’s seat is available with manual adjustment or 8-way power for added convenience. On all models, driver’s seat height can be raised or lowered a total of 54 mm (2.1 in.) with manual or power. Lumbar adjustment for lower back support is standard on SXT and R/T. The rear seat provides 927 mm (36.5 in.) of legroom. Rear seats feature a fold-down centre armrest with cup holders enhancing comfort and convenience.

More powerful than a locomotive. Okay, we’re exaggerating. But you won’t be lacking in power with Avenger’s standard all-new 2.4L I-4 DOHC 16V World Engine. Incorporating dual-cam Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and intake manifold Flow Control Valves with dual overhead camshafts, this advanced power plant produces more power and better fuel economy all with smoother, quieter operation. The Chrysler Group World Engines are the first in the North America to use intake manifold Flow Control Valves.

Outrun the ordinary. An enhanced 2.7-litre dual-overhead camshaft V6 engine is available on Avenger. It delivers outstanding performance, with higher torque at launch and mid-range for quicker acceleration and passing power. This Flex Fuel engine also accepts unleaded gasoline or E85 (ethanol and gasoline) or any mixture of the two.

You’d need a cape and tights to go faster. Fly past the mediocre mob of mid-size sedans with Avenger R/T’s class-leading performance. With a standard 3.5L HO V6 engine, Avenger R/T gives speeding bullets a run for their money. Mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, this High Output power plant makes Avenger the best performing mid-size car in the segment, delivering smoother performance with more low-speed torque.

Full throttle technology. All Avenger engines use Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). It provides many benefits that cannot be duplicated with a mechanical throttle, including improved acceleration feel. When cruise control is engaged, ETC helps minimize “gear-hunting,” helping to maintain more consistent vehicle speed on rolling grades.

Gripping story. An available Electronic Stability Program*(ESP™) and Traction Control keep you securely on track in challenging driving situations. ESP helps maintain vehicle directional stability by applying selective braking and throttle control to control oversteer/understeer and to maintain traction during acceleration on slippery surfaces. ESP can enhance vehicle stability and control during a variety of driving situations including braking, cornering, accelerating and manoeuvring around obstacles. On low friction surfaces (wet, snowy, icy, sandy or gravel roads) ESP helps keep you safely planted on the road.

Keeping you on track. Avenger’s available anti-lock brake system helps you maintain directional control while braking by preventing wheel lock-up. In many instances the vehicle will stop in a shorter distance on pavement than a non-ABS equipped vehicle.

Never get the slip. Move with surefooted agility in Avenger R/T with optional All-Wheel Drive (late availability). This state-of-the-art electronic AWD system anticipates the need for added traction and responds to wheel slippage by transferring power to the rear wheels. The system requires no driver input or control. Under most driving conditions, it is passive and power is transmitted to the front wheels alone.

Like any hero, it’s always ready to protect. All Avenger models come standard with advanced Multi Stage Front Air Bags*, Side-Curtain Air Bags* that provide two rows of side impact protection to outboard occupants, and Front Seat-Mounted Side Air Bags* for additional protection in a side impact.

Feel free in this cage. A Structural Safety Cage at the core of Avenger protects occupants by managing and controlling energy in the event of an impact.

Our new energy policy. Both front seat belt retractors incorporate a pre-tensioning feature to enhance protection by managing occupant energy during an impact. The front passenger seat belt also includes a two-stage load-limiting feature for added protection. Three-point Rear Seat Belts are standard for outboard and centre rear passengers.

Child safety isn’t kid’s play. Avenger’s rear seats include three pairs of lower child seat anchors used in the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system. This allows installation of up to two child seats in the outboard rear seats or one in the centre. With LATCH, child seats are secured by direct attachment to the vehicle seat structure, rather than by the vehicle’s seat belts.

Fortress on wheels. You can feel confident knowing that Avenger comes standard with a gauntlet of personal security features, including Remote Keyless Entry and Vehicle Theft Security Alarm. The Sentry Key™ Theft Deterrent System is also standard on all models. Sentry Key makes it virtually impossible to drive the vehicle without a valid key. A small transmitter chip embedded in the key, or integrated key fob, provides a digital signal to the vehicle’s engine computer, which determines if the key is valid. If the key is not valid, the engine will immediately shut down.

Air on the side of caution. Tire pressure monitoring helps maintain proper tire pressure for safer driving. With Avenger’s standard Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, low tire pressure on any tire illuminates a warning indicator in the instrument cluster. A premium TPM system, standard on R/T, displays individual pressures at each tire. A warning message and chime immediately announce a low-pressure condition in any tire.

Protection on contact. During a frontal impact, the steering column compresses up to 100.6 mm (4 in.) to absorb impact energy from the driver contacting the air bag as it deploys.
